FORS and Crossrail Accreditation

Spectrum Freight Ltd are FORS Silver Accredited for working on Crossrail and associated projects. FORS is the TFL - Transport for London - initiative to improve road safety for vulnerable road users, particularly cyclists. FORS is becoming more widespread as many companies see the benefits it makes to road safety. Any LGV vehicles not meeting Crossrails standards are being turned away from compliant sites. As well as the company being audited to TFL standards, the driver has to be FORS qualified and the vehicle equipped with many extras such as rear view cameras and side detection sytems acting as warning alerts to cyclists. TFL rules such as these are a great aid to road safety.
